VENUE
Moscow is one of Russia's oldest cities, its first mention dating
back to an ancient Russian chronicle of the mid 12th century.
Today, it is an economic, political and scientific centre of
Russia and one of the world's largest cities. Moscow's economy
is based on a variety of highly developed scientific and industrial
establishments, including 850 higher educational institutions
among them the oldest Russian university. Moscow is one of the
largest communication centres of Eastern Europe.
For centuries, Moscow has been the cultural centre of Russia.
It is adorned by a diversity of ancient churches and monasteries,
palaces of czars and princes, art nouveau mansions of the early
20th century and brand new offices, hotels and trade centres.
Moscow is the city of the world-famous Bolshoi Theatre, the Moscow
Conservatoire, the Tretyakov Art Gallery, the Pushkin Fine Arts
Museum.
The 89th EOQ Congress will be held at the International Trade
Centre. Situated alongside the Moscow river, the Centre offers
conference rooms of various capacities, exhibition halls, restaurants
and cafes. Its modern facilities and infrastructure, telecommunication
lines and security system make it a perfect place to combine business
with pleasure.
Apart from the International Trade Centre hotel, the guests
and delegates of the Congress may, of course, choose other suitably
located hotels of different categories.
The guests and delegates of the Congress will be offered a diverse
cultural programme.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Moscow in September
2008!
